Team Drills

As important as all the drills are that are designed to improve the players individual skills, Football is still a team-sport and therefore it is important that the players of the team work together as one unit in the games and not as a group of individuals accidently standing on the same field in the same uniform.

These drills plus full scale scrimmages help to make a team out of the well trained individual athletes.

In this section you find Offense Team Drills, Defense Team Drills, Special Teams Drills, and Offense vs Defense Team Drills.

Football Team Drills:

Offense
Football Team Offense Drill: Hustle Drill
Defense
Football Team Defense Drill: Perfect Play Drill
Special Teams
Football Special Teams Drills: Punt-/Kickoff-Cover Drill
Offense vs Defense
Football Offense vs Defense Drills: "Superbowl", Halfline, Inside Run, 7 On 7 Passing

sdboltz65, if you are coaching at the youth level, you actually don't need any special conditioning drills! Just make sure the kids don't stand around during practice, keep them on the move... Make your speeches before and after practice, not during the drills. If you keep the kids running around most of your practice time that's plenty of conditioning for players at the youth level. When scrimmaging, keep it at game speed. Don't let the whole team stand and wait until you explained something to one or some players. Replace them with other players if you need to explain something immediately, otherwise make notes and do the teaching after the scrimmage/practice.

If you can't find the football drills: look to the left, click on Offense, Defense, Special-Teams or Offense vs Defense to get to the corresponding Team-Drills. Under the clicked menu-item you will see links to the actual drills for that category. If, however, you are looking for drills to drill holes into something, then you are on the wrong site.
