Purpose

  • Teach blocking techniques in conjunction with specific plays.
  • Prepare players for actions/reactions of defenders.

Description

Use stand up bags for aiming at and hitting.

Explain situation and play for each specific block you want to install. Teach blocks against all expectable reactions by defender.

Coaching Points

Make sure players take the correct path to the defender and run under control so that they still can react to movements of the defenders.
