Running Back Agility Drill: Running High Knees over Bags

Purpose

  • To develop high knee running and body awareness.
  • Improve Ball Security

Description

  1. Have 5 square bags placed accordingly.
  2. Have a back run (full speed) over each bag in succession.

Coaching Points

  • Runners should keep eyes downfield and knees high.
  • Violent explosive high knee running.
  • Going for every yard - step on, over or around would be tackler
  • Check also for proper ball carrying throughout the whole drill

Equipment

  • Balls
  • 5 square bags
