NFL Schedule 2008 - National TV Appearance - Winners and Loosers

Posted on April 17th, 2008 in NFL by coachroth

On Tuesday (April 15th, 2008) the NFL announced the Schedule for the 2008 Season.

Since the opponents are already known since the end of the Regular Season 2007 there was no room for surprises…

But the interesting thing was who would be how often on National TV, and how many Nat. TV Games will each team host.

And here are really some surprises:

The Cleveland Browns will be the team with the most (4) National TV appearances in 2008:

Hosting the New York Giants (Oct. 13th) and the Denver Broncos (Nov. 6th), visiting the Buffalo Bills (Nov. 17th) and the Philadelphia Eagles (Dec. 15th).

The Dallas Cowboys will host all 3 of their National TV appearances: vs. the Philadelphia Eagles (Sept. 15th), Seattle Seahawks (Nov. 27th) and the Baltimore Ravens (Dec. 20th)

While the Denver Broncos like 4 other teams (Saints, Eagles, Steelers and Packers) besides the already mentioned Cowboys with 3 Nat. TV appearances, will have to travel all 3 times: to Oakland (Sept. 8th), New England (Oct. 20th) and Cleveland (Nov. 6th).

The loosers regarding National TV appearances are clearly the Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Rams without any games on National TV.

Here’s the complete list:
