No big surprise, Marinelli got fired by the Detroit Lions. Earning the title “probably the worst team in NFL History” isn’t a thing that secures your job. After the firing of GM Matt Millen already on Sept. 24th it was just a question of time when Marinelli will get his papers, too.
Might the “Bill Parcells” of the Lions be Bill Parcells himself? There are rumors that Parcells wants out of Miami. If so, what else could make him the greatest than after leading a 1-15 team into to the playoffs the following year, taking a 0-16 team and repeat that. I might even be easier than this years accomplishments comparing the strength of the Divisions. Vikings, Bears and Packers aren’t as strong as Patriots (last season 16-0), Jets and Bills are.
