This Sunday June 28th, 2009, Bamberg Bears Player MÄX ZILLIBILLER will have his 300. CAREER GAME!
Mäx is 46 years old and playing his 20. season. He started his career at the
Rosenheim Rebels, was practicing with “The Fridge” from the Chicago Bears when they had a camp in Germany, and soon after that made his coaching licence and came then to the Bamberg Bears.
He also is coaching for years and in charge of AFVBy duties. He is well known in Bavaria’s Football scene.
The Bamberg Bears will have a Bayernliga-Game vs. the Straubing Spiders – their “godfather-club” which is in his 25th season now. Even though the Bears have had a bad start into the first half of the season they hope to come back to the Bears roots. The Bears had to integrate a lot of rookies which never played football before and to compense the veteran players, who left. Now they are looking forward to play better games to remain in the league.
On Sunday 28 of June there will be a SURPRISE party for Mäx: an extended 30 minute halftime instead of the regular 15 minutes:
Joyce Dodson winner of the operation rising star will be the singer, an oldie band will come and newspapers and TV.
