Coaching Carousel: One job filled, a different opens up
Compared to the previous couple of days, today has been a quite slow day so far:
The Miami Dolphins filled their QB coaching position: David Lee, who also spent 4 years from 2003 - 2006 with Bill Parcells at the Dallas Cowboys, and in 2007 he coached the QBs and ran the offense at the University of Arkansas, and was supposed to fill similar role in 2008 at Ole Miss …
Comment: The hiring of an assistant before hiring a head coach can only mean two things: either it is already clear who will be the new head coach and the hiring of Lee was in agreement with the currently non-disclosed new HC, OR the new head coach simply will not have much of a say at all about the hiring of his staff (unlikely, but with Bill Parcells I wouldn’t rule it out as impossible)
After three seasons Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel obviously had enough of defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, and so the Browns announced that Grantham won’t return for a fourth season to Cleveland …
At last look at this: 2/3 of the Packers fans think hope so hard that they believe it, that the Giants will win in Dallas:

Hey, this is Eric from SSO. I was just wanting to say that I bet the latter is the case with Parcells. He probably knows what he’s doing, but I’m getting the sense already that he’s going to be a control freak.
