The Green Bay Packers just announced that Brett Favre will return to the playing field for at least another year.
Cool! This will be his 17th year playing in the NFL. He’s for sure not the man who can win a game just by himself, but with his experience he can help the Packers to become a great team in the near future – even though, that might be still to far in the future for him.
Last season the Packers started expectedly bad into the season but improved almost dramatically during the season, finishing it with 8-8 with 4 straight wins, the last vs. the Chicago Bears, who will play in the Superbowl XLI on Sunday. If they can preserve these performance – and I don’t see why they shouldn’t: they are a young team which improved very much and even that young that we probably haven’t seen their top performances yet – over the offseason into the next season they are for sure serious Playoff-Contenders especially with Brett Favre at the helm.
