Suedfootball.de // South-football.com finally online

Posted on February 10th, 2007 in Uncategorized by admin

There is a new football information portal ( www.suedfootball.de) online which focuses totally on Southern Germany. An alternative address is www.south-football.com, which currently just redirects to the above mentioned URL.

For the start it will be only in german, so this information is mainly for the german speaking (or reading) readers of this blog.

We (Dirk Herbes and me (Coach Roth from Footballdrills.com)) are currently looking for contributors to the portal: League- and Club-Officials, Players, Booster-Clubs, Fans, Reporters, anybody who wants to write and/or report about a Club, a Player, a Coach, a Game or any other American Football activity in Southern Germany. So if you want to contribute, please contact us:

Brett Favre Will Be Back

Posted on February 2nd, 2007 in NFL by admin

The Green Bay Packers just announced that Brett Favre will return to the playing field for at least another year.

Cool! This will be his 17th year playing in the NFL. He’s for sure not the man who can win a game just by himself, but with his experience he can help the Packers to become a great team in the near future - even though, that might be still to far in the future for him.

Last season the Packers started expectedly bad into the season but improved almost dramatically during the season, finishing it with 8-8 with 4 straight wins, the last vs. the Chicago Bears, who will play in the Superbowl XLI on Sunday. If they can preserve these performance - and I don’t see why they shouldn’t: they are a young team which improved very much and even that young that we probably haven’t seen their top performances yet - over the offseason into the next season they are for sure serious Playoff-Contenders especially with Brett Favre at the helm.
